Comic fans and DC fans do yourselves a favor go get this issue, it is fantastic. it also comes with a 3 page centerfold that all will love. also 2 (4 if you count the other 2 as bad asses)major bad asses are back, not saying who, you have to read it to find out. and it sets the stage for Phase 2 of the Night story line... even touches on Batman for a second.

I enjoyed the issue. I usually wait til the end of the month and get my comics at one time. So getting the last issue of BN today was sweet. Loved the fold out spread.

The pacing of the issue was a bit rushed and things tied up a little too neatly.

However...

This was an outstanding crossover all things considered. It had it's supremely slow parts but had equally intriguing and awesome moments. Johns owns DC now. He's shown the world and all of the readers what can be accomplished with a little research, integrity and a heaping amount of respect for the DCU, it's former creators and their respective legacies.

Ivan Reis is the baddest dude drawing comics today. Of that there is little doubt. The layouts, details and story telling he showed on this issue are on par with ANYTHING that has ever been printed. DC needs to lock him down to a lifetime contract. I have no idea what's next for him(vacation maybe), but it's a blind purchase. He could pencil the G'nort Corp and I'd buy it monthly.

The gatefold centerpiece is almost beyond words to describe. The return of some characters back to the DCU is just a specatular and heroic moment to behold. I stared at that image for a long time absorbing it and taking it in.

This book leaves a lot of questions about the future and sets up numerous future titles and storylines. Johns has set up a lot of plots for future creators to play off of and has paved the way for a re-emergence of a recently decimated DCU under the sloppy hands of Morrison and Didio.

I'm taking this book to work tomorrow to further absorb all the goodness inside. I know there are detractors of this storyline and DC in particular, but this issue really hit me in ways I haven't felt in decades.

I'm behind. Since I lost my job my comics have been piling up for over 2 months now. The LCS has been pulling the series for me and I guess I need to stop by and pick up some. I am excited to pick up where I left off.

I tghought the wrap-up was quite goood- a few points were sortof glossed over, but that gatefold section was spectacular! And I'm wondering the same thing Bary Allen was, and I believe there is more yet to come out of this, and I've a feeling the resurrections aren't quite done yet or have all been totally revealed.

I won't give any spoilers, since it seems there's a few members who haven't read it yet. We'll discuss details later on.

I get my issue on Sat..., maybe Mon.
I bought every Single issue and tie-in and cross over for Blackest Night..., the Only book I currently am missing is the Question issue. This was a Fantastic series and Idea..., I look forward to this Book.


Anyone Know what Reis is drawing Next ?
