ok so they cancelled Spider-woman not that bug a deal, I love the character and the story has actually been really good. however...they pulled the plug after renewing the comic last week. um yeah I'm sure they didn't decide to pull the plug yesterday.

so I've lost 2 of my favorite Marvel subscriptions this month Ms Marvel and Spider-woman, and both have been rolled into the new Black Widow comic starting soon..yay I have almost 2 years worth of that coming.. what are the chances it lasts that long

I bought the 1st issue of Spider-Woman ..., and thought it was completely Horrible. Ms. Marvel was really good until like the last 3 issues of the series,.. it was almost as if they just said screw it, before it did get the plug.

there's a letter brom Bendis blaming the cancellation on the fact they made it to coincide with the motion comic and it was too much..bla...

Not sure if this may be part of reason for the recent cancellations, but some friends of mine in the comic industry were telling me the other day that the Disney folks are REALLY starting to stick their noses into how Marvel is run. Both in the comicbook and Film end of things...I have a feeling more cancellations, staff changes, and shake ups are coming soon.

So what like 6 or 7 issues in and they've cancelled Spider-Woman already? After that long wait for Bendis to get around to doing it and the big push with the motion comic they just decide to can the whole thing? Thanks for making me waste my money Marvel....

It's possible but really nothing new here. On the Marvel side I've seen several Spider-Girl series, Silver Sable years, back, and several She-Hulk Series to name a few all the get the axe. On the DC Birds of Prey got canceled although I guess it's coming back. Batgirl has seen the axe a few times before the current incarnation. I'm waiting to see how long Power Girl lasts. Even Wonder Women is on her what..fifth series?

Yeah, but this is the first time a Bendis book has been axed so early. He's a big shot. How were the sales?

It is unfortunate but I am afraid comics are not going to be what they were to us anymore.
