Aggh. Dick was a rare cat in the comics biz. One of the most talented artists and the nicest guy ever. Thoroughly approachable and thoughtful. This one's a real loss for the art, but an even greater loss because of the man. Bye, Dick.

One of the true Giants of the Comics Industry has passed. I am so saddend by this news. I will miss his work and and a little comfortered with knowing that in the future comic readers will look at his work just as we do, and say wow! this man was a true comic Genius.

R.I.P. Mr.Giordano, Thank you, so much for the years of joy you brought me.

Sad Day in the Comic Community indeed. Amazing how you grow up with the man's work never meeting him Yet he touched millions of kids with his work both as artist an editor.

Sadly the light grows dimmer as many of these Great Giants from a different time of comics pass away.......

I heard the news late last night.
I'm just bummed. He was such a huge part of my youth.

          R.I.P.

Thank you for this thread, because I hadn't heard of Mr. Giordano's passing.

It really saddens me--for me, Giordano, Aparo, & Adams embodied DC in the 70s--part & parcel of my childhood comics/toy experience.
