Looks like Franken Castle is staying

Anyone else notice they renamed the Punisher 616 title "Franken Castle".

Given the fact that they have a more classic Punisher running around in a MAX title, it occurs to me that they have managed to sneak in a defacto monthly Legion of Monsters title to the Marvel fans under the radar dressed up as a superhero title with Punisher in the lead.

As for the Captain America style Punisher we saw following Civil War, anyone notice the cover of the Ultimate Avengers (the one with Ghost Rider)?

I am one happy guy, it has been a great read so far. Remender is a great writer that obviously digs the old Marvel Monsters.

I'm not the biggest Punisher or monster fan, but I can't get enough of this title. I'm really loving the artwork, it sort of reminds me of Mike Ploog's 70's horror work for Marvel.

The other one is now Punishermax now, or is that old news? I think the Frankencastle renaming started with 17

It's been PunisherMax since the relaunch after Garth Ennis' run and the start of Jason Aaron's new #1, I believe.

Between this and the ongoing stream of Marvel Zombies minis, I do hope this is a trend towards more Monster/Horror titles at Marvel. In the long run, diversity for the line is the best thing that can happen.

I would love to see Garth Ennis or Jason Aaron writing a Blade book for example. It's just ridiculous that Marvel cannot launch and sustain an ongoing with this character using a-list talent, given the fact that the Wesley Snipes movies were so popular and the fact that the world is vampire-nuts right now.

Well.... it IS the 70's again....

              >and the fact that the world is vampire-nuts right now.

Yeah; but they're not nuts for the Wesley Snipes kinda vampire. More the Wesley Crusher type.

*ZING!* I'm here all day folks!

I thought the 90's were the 70's again and NOW is the 80's again?

The 20 year nostalgia sliding scale... like how the 70's were the 50's again through the Happy Days lens?

And speaking of Wesley Crusher, I'm sensing what might be a pop cultural beginnings of a Star Trek TNG fandom revival given his recent appearances on Family Guy and Big Bang Theory. Doogie Howser's second-wind celebrity paving the way for nerdy child prodigy's from 80's television. Urkel is standing by in the wings somewhere too I'm sure.

Nah, the 00's were the 80's again. We've been living the same 20 years over and over since at least the late 1800's.
