Finally watched this the other night. I guess I have to be the lone dissenter and say I thought Kick-*** was anything but. In fact... it kind of turned my stomach.

Ever feel like the world's sort of leaving you behind?

I sat down to this, not knowing anything about it, thinking it was some teenage comedy. One of the most craziest flicks Ive seen for a while, completely loved it. My friend came round, because he wanted a copy, to watch with his small cousin, after watching it with me(me the 5th time), he said maybe I shouldnt

Wow what a fabulous movie! I would never let my kids see it but it was entertaining throughout.

I'm a sucker for violence and vengeance.

Definitely not for kids. There are all sorts of things in this movie you don't want to have to talk to your kids about yet, and tons of imagery they shouldn't see at a young age, in my opinion.

But it's a great movie for adults!

Yeah, I'm pretty liberal about what I'll let my kids (8 & 5) watch, but I also had to draw the line on this one. The body count is too high, and the presence of an 11 year old character would make it a little too real for my kids (i.e. if she can do it, why can't we?). Personally, I loved the movie.

Thanks for the warning, Brue. I have no clue what it's about but I have a feeling I will like it. I'll make sure to send the kids to bed before I watch the movie with my husband.

I watched it with my 15 year nephew. That was a mistake. It was inappropriate for a 15 year old. I would not watch this with an 8 year old.

I loved the film and the comic, it was a blast!
Did anyone notice that a couple of scenes had music that was originally in 2 different Danny Boyle films? It was playing on my mind while watching the film... where do I know that music from? Worked out that one track was in 28days Later and another outta Sunshine- weird!!
Must listen carefully in case 'Jai Ho' makes an appearance

I agree with Scott about the exploration of the psycho Batman thing. Here are the logical extensions of a "real world" Batman and Robin. I know Hit Girl goes around smoking people, but I think it does prove that a young Robin could work in movies.

Cage's Adam West had me rolling on the couch. Great stuff. I think this is the best movie he's made in a LONG time.

This is the first thing I've seen Mark Strong in, that I can think of. I think he will be great as Sinestro.

Too bad this is so similar, the kid that played Kick-Arse would make a great Spider-Man.

    Great flick. Go rent it!

I want to say that I totally got what the song in that scene was, but I was trying to be very careful about spoilers.

For me, THAT was a major part of the scene.....and I knew, based on the posts in this threads, that it would appear. I just didn't know where. It didn't take away from anything for me.
