    Green Arrow Next Animated Short

Found this on the comics continuum site:

    DC SHOWCASE: GREEN ARROW

Greg Weisman has written the Green Arrow short for Warner Home Video's DC Showcase animated program, The Continuum has learned.

It has not been announced to which direct-to-DVD movie Green Arrow will be attached. Jonah Hex will also be featured in a short.

Weisman is an animation producing and writing veteran, best known for Gargoyles and, more recently, The Spectacular Spider-Man.

He has also written episodes of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Legion of Super Heroes, The Batman and Men in Black: The Series.

According to sources, the Green Arrow short will feature plenty of action and a guest appearance by another DC hero.

Other hero must be Black Canary. I would have thought GA could have had his own DVD though.

Batman: Red Hood is coming out in the summer, and I would guess Warners/DC would have another out for fall/Christmas.

Another Green Lantern one is in the works, but they may want it more for next spring/summer as a prelude to the live-action 3D flick.

Last Year, Wonder Woman came out in February, Green Lantern in July and Public Enemies in September, Justice League crisis came out in Feburary... so it seems to be following a pattern.

Cool. Green Arrow really seems to translate well into animation, no matter what the take on him. Love his JLU and B&B incarnations. Heck, he wasn't bad on Super Friends, or even The Batman!

It is 3 a year. The JLA Crisis was from Feb. 2010. The other three were from 2009.

Bet there will eventually be a collection of all the shorts. I rented the JLA Crisis one, and no Spectre short. NO interest in paying 20 bucks to see it and own a movie I might watch one more time.

I think they are about to be for me also. I think I'm renting 2 today. Crisis on 2 Earths and Green Lantern First Flight. Is that the same stuff?

Green Arrow as a back-up to Green Lantern would be cool with me, but I'm like Jason, I'd like to see a whole movie. While derivative, GA's origin is cool. Longbow Hunters might be too graphic for for even a PG-13 movie, but they could do something neat with him.

I would like to see a full-length Green Arrow animated movie also but I will take him in anything that I can get.
