I never read the comic - but I like the director Edgar Wright's movies a lot! His old Brit TV show "Spaced" was amazing too. Simon Pegg plays a comic book store clerk whose girlfriend breaks up with him and he moves in with a quirky wannabe writer. TONS of hilarious movie references and great supporting characters.
While they were shooting this here Wright presented some great movies at a rep theatre. Fun stuff like "Police Story" and "The Brood". He did a little talk about each movie and what he loved about them - it was pretty cool.
A friend of mine worked in the art department of this movie and asked me and a bunch of other local artists for poster art to use as set decoration. I have no idea if any of my posters made it into the movie - but I will be cool to see if they did.Comment
