Absolutely stunning...I wish I could afford some pages like that one. One Day...
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".
I used to own the page 1 splashes to X-Men 5, 9 & 11. How the mighty have fallen
I think the one I liked the most was the Pre-Lim Giant Size X-Men 1 by Gil Kane you had. If I remember correctly it had Nightcrawler in a different outfit.

Was it just pencils, or pencils and inks on the Giant Size Pre-Lim? If it was just Pencils I would find it very hard to display. Just pencils tend to degrade over time. Is there anyway of displaying a pencil piece without having it degrade?

I remember the ad for it in Goldmine Magazine. My friend who ran a record store in Patchogue used to get Goldmine all the time and would give them to me after he was done looking through it. I think, memory isn't what it used to be, the seller wanted $3000 for it at the time. Right now that would be a bargain for a Kirby piece of this nature...but we're talking 17 years ago I just didn't have the scratch for it.
