Batman Beyond returns in a new DC Comic series

And they are introducing Superman Beyond as well!

I hope Paul Dini is writing, although it looks like he's got a full plate with his current Batman books as well as a new Zatanna book.

One incarnation of Batman I never cared for.

My Son loves this version ..., I have mixed feelings, because the toon was really good, .. but I dislike Bruce being so Old.

My son also loves Batman Beyond. I was dubious at first. After all, Timm and company just did it because someone at Warners was hell-bent on doing a "teen Batman" show, and they didn't want anyone mucking with their series which was still going at the time. But they came up with a great show and concept. It took it a while to fully grow on me, but its a strong as any of their other DCU work.

Not sure how the comic would be.

I liked this version of Batman. thought it was cool it was a continuation of the Bruce Wayne storyline, set when he is too old to be Batman. Would have been cool if they had brought in more heroes in that timeline

What Woulda been cool ..., is if the Episode where Bruce took the Larzerus pitt bath, is if Bruce woulda Stayed Young. I hated that he went back to being Old ... for some reason, prior to seeing this, I had always thought Bruce Would somehow find a way to cheat the Age process ..., then I read a Dark Knight ..., and then Kingdom Come,.. and was Bummed that everyone had Bruce as this Old Guy.

Cool, the creators will be free to explore the future world of BB without having to worry about clashing with the animated show anymore. Look forward to it.

Check out John Byrne's Superman/Batman: Generations. Though the characters age and others assume the mantle of Supes & Bats, the originals - who do use stuff like the Lazarus Pits - are still crime-fighting into the 30th century.

Maybe they'll finally get around to telling what happened to Dick. They always hinted at it but never went into any details.

                    Hmmmm....

I didn't care for Batman Beyond; it's become my example of how not to structure a story. The problem was that they came up with this weird, cyberpunk future, and did the same old stories in the same old way, with it. They never thought the setting through. Case in point; you've got a world with skintight power armour, where people get genetic mods as a FASHION STATEMENT; and when the mayor is in danger, for security they have a moving train and four guys with rifles?!?!?! Where are the laser-sensors, satelite relays, tracker drones, geneticly modified cyber-attack dogs....?

I enjoyed the series, I was kind of ticked because I knew WB chose it instead of a Justice League concept but all worked out.

It always felt like early Spider-Man though, especially the villain archetypes, you had Sandman, Mysterio and Kraven for sure in there.

I really liked Batman Beyond, and the payoff for doing it instead of Justice League paid off with the JLU Episodes "The Once and Future Thing" and "Epilogue". Great stuff.

It took me forever to get into the series......never understood the concept of his mouth being all black...I know it was high tech suit but the mouth design just bothered me. I liked when they showed Bruce with the suit on.......and I liked the Cloth action figure that came out during the show and the Ed McGuinness figure.
