    FF ann 3-Calling any knowers

I bought a copy of FF ann 3.(60s)
The rear and inside covers are blank. Just white!
I contacted the seller about this and he informed me that this was the canadian version of this issue.
Any one ever see this type of thing?
    I havent.

Never saw it, but it is possible...I've seen comics with blank inside covers, but never really connected it to Canadian editions. I could see it if the inside covers had advertising that was not allowed or invalid across the border. Does the indicia say anything to that effect?

        Here are some scans.
Rear + both inside covers are blank.
Note no fine print on front page.
        Weird aint it?

I'd say that the advertising was the case here and they were printed blank on purpose. My copy of FF Annual #3 has an ad on the inside front for the Famous Artists course & the indicia...and the back inside is for a weightlifting course. Both probably not available outside the US, therefore both sides of the cover wrap interior had to be left blank...probably easier to do that at the printer's than to insert a Canadian ad. I think it is what you were told, a Canadian version...sort of an early variant cover!

Check the house ads- there should be one for Spidey Annual #2, Sgt Fury Ann #1, Marvel Tales Ann #2, Thor Ann #1, with 25 names of Marvel Marchers at the bottom- 1st name is Martin Dominguez, last name is Dal Dickerson...it comes right after the Subby story. At the end of the next story is another with FF, Spidey, Thor, Dd, Rawhide KId down left, Sgt Fury, TwoGun, Tales to Astonish down center, Xmen, Avengers, Strange Tales, Tale Suspense, Kid Colt down left. THe Stange Tales is #130 the Beatles issue...If they match, it's a first print.

I can't remember that issue being reprinted in a single issue like that, so I don't think it's a reprint, but I've also never heard of Canadian versions of Marvel comics at that time - thought that Canadian print runs was more of a war era thing anyway. Why do a whole separate run otherwise?

I don't have this issue, so I can't check. I think he's saying that the indicia is missing too - he said the "fine print" was missing.

According to these pics the indicia was printed on the inside of the front cover - so that explains why it's missing!

                  Maybe I got a misprint?
All the house ads match johnnystorms description, although I find it strange that no other ads appear anywhere in the book. The indicia being on the inside fr cover explains at least that part missing from first page(thanx brazoo).
I dont beleive the Canadian version explanation.
Millions of comics were sold in CDA and I have personally manipulated 1000s.
I have never seen this before.
                  Perplexed to say the least.

Yeah - I'm thinking print error so far. I've seen a fair about of marvel square bound books with double covers, so maybe the square binding caused more errors - not sure though.

Yes, as I said the indicia was on the inside front cover under the Famous Artists School ad. There are NO other ads in the book other than the two house ads and the ones that were on the inside covers.
