So was is there really a point to the Avengers relaunches?

So New Avengers is still around. The Adjectiveless Avengers gives us a "classic" line-up which was already what they were kind of giving us with the relaunched Mighty Avengers title a couple of years back. Instead of Avengers Initiative we get Avengers Academy with the same writer.

Dark Avengers gets swapped for Ed Brubaker's Secret Avengers, but Bendis is still writing Two Avengers titles still with what appears to be the same set of characters he was using before the relaunch, with the addition of Thor.

So basically a new set of #1's to try and spike the sales. And as many have pointed out, is there any doubt that legacy numbering will kick in at some point a couple of years later?

I think you hit it on the head with Sales.

The numbering really doesn't matter to me anymore because I sold off all my back issues years ago.

Typically, I see no reason for relaunches, other than for sales. Other than some good Perez issues 6-7yrs ago, haven't touched them since late 80s.

It's like.. "Why..?" The older stories were so much better. I perfer to stay vintage.

Really dissapointed that Wolverine and Spidey are still part of the mix. Sorry, they belong about as much as Cyborg and Starfire belong in JLA.

I like Spidey on the team. too much Wolverine. but I'm looking forward to the classic line-up and any interaction with Tony and Cap

I just hope Ms Marvel is around I'm ****ed they ending her series, course they'll probably kill her off in her finale

I'll follow a comic book team I like for awhile (JSA, JLA, AVENGERS...Etc.)

But when they start spinning off a million books with their titles and tie ins and relaunching a series a million times it gets old.

Hopefully relaunching the Avengers will bring us back to a main book again. Probably not.

                    This actually intrigues me.

Since The Thing is one of my favourite characters, short of his own solo book, I don't mind seeing more of him monthly.

Which team would you guys like to see The Beast end up on?

The Thing already has a team membership elsewhere. There are plenty of other Ex- Avengers out there that could use a title to appear in way more than Benjy, Wolverine and Spidey.
