Warren Ellis' Ignition City, Volume 1

Anyone read it? The cover looks gorgeous, and the author describes it as "FLASH GORDON via DEADWOOD"



I generally like his stuff, but I've really not kept up with all his Avatar work (or a lot of his Marvel work either.) Any opinions? The cover looks uplifting and hopeful, which doesn't sound like anything Ellis has ever written. The description sounds more like one of his.

Cool. I didn't realize the trade was out. Definitely going to catch this one. Most recently read Ellis' Sherlock Holmes pastiche (can't remember what it's called).

Still have to catch up on Freak Angels as well.
