My Final verdict is ...
That I didn't even know it came out last week,.. and just picked it up this week.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
always trading for Hot Toys Figures . -
My final verdict is......as much as I love Geoff Johns, Ethan Van Sciver and the Barry Allen Flash....it took 6 issues for this? A little lackluster if you ask me....I think Johns lost his way with the million of other pies he has his hands in and this book suffered because of it. After all the build-up of the Return of Barry Allen for the last few years of books and this is what we got? Slow paced (ironically) and non-eventful. And although Johns is laying the groundwork for the new Flash series in the pages of Rebirth, I can't help get too excited because I'm not a big fan of Francis Manapul's artwork.Think OUTSIDE the Box! If it was me it would have been 4 issues, more Barry as Black Flash (the only really cool moment in the whole series), none of that Zoom being a little ***** and pushing Barry down the stairs stuff, and decrease instead of increase the size of the Flash Family.
I will say that I like the idea of Barry taking over the station's Cold Cases. A CSI Central City approach to the character could be very cool.
Has DC said anything about their plans for Wally?Comment

The mini was ok, not spectacular though, there was no focus to it. But I'm really glad to see Barry back.
And hopefully Zoom is out of the picture for awhile, he's overused. I'd like to see a few one-issue Flash vs, a Rogue stuff, and find a way to bring the real Trickster back too. Hate that punk kid they have in their now.Comment

Something tells me given the Big Two's "franchise fever" that there is probably a Flash-Family type title on the way as well... "All-Flash" seem appropriate? You don't have five extra speedsters running around (pun intended) without having something in mind for them. I'm guessing they figure that the market can sustain Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps, the same goes for The Flash and the "Flash Corps".Comment

I really enjoyed the first issue — very nostalgic —but after that it began to tail off for me. The series was supposed to have been completed before Blackest Night started, which early on had a lot of Flash in it, so the series lost all momentum to me when we had to wait two and three months between issues.
I did like the fact that the last issue set the stage for the new series so when it starts there won't be a lot of background crap to deal with. I'm not crazy about Manupal's art either, but he at least hits his deadlines.
DC originally announced at Comic-con that Wally would be sharing the Flash title with Barry and that there would be a Kid Flash title, too, but the plans changed in the fall at least with Kid Flash.
I'm guessing they thought they better get one book on its feet before having two. I;m assuming Wally will still be in the Flash book, but am not sure. Honestly, I'd rather see a Barry book and a Wally book with Bart guest strarring in them than a Kid Flash book, but that's just me.
I think it's going to be fun to read about Barry for the first time since the 1980s, at least I hope it will. The Flash title died such an agonizing death back then, with the crummy Trial of the Flash storyline that just seemed to go on forever. Infantino's art at that point was way too loose for my taste. He was at his best under a strong inker, who added his own touches to Infantino's pencils.Comment

THis book totally lost me after issue two and I never went back to get the others. It's definitely for John's best work, and Sciver couldn't meet any sort of deadline. If this comes out in trade, I'd think about getting it.

Wally was initially slated as a "second feature" (or whatever they were called) in the back end of Barry's book before the plug on that experiment was pulled, so I would imagine there is some material that was brewing in there that will be repurposed.
I would actually really enjoy a Rogues series in the vein of the old Secret Society of Super Villains series from the 70's which if you guys remember, had Wally as one of the main members of the opposing side. With Barry doing the "CSI" thing, I think it might be cool for Boomerang Jr and Wally to do "The Wire". I think it would be a really unique take. Particularly when you throw in Wally's struggle to be a husband and father.Comment

I got about two issues into it and realized Geoff Johns is not the savior of DC Comics. Really lackluster. The backups are still around, The Avenger will have one in Doc Savage. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

SPOILER ALERT
"Lackluster" is a good description of #6. I read it and said to myself "THIS is what I've been waiting months for?" A rather anti-climatic ending...no big, one on one battle with Iris barely being rescued...just somehow push Zoom into the tube and "zzzzzzttt!" cut him off from the Speed Force. How did THAT work, exactly? I'm interested in seeing how they move forward with these characters.Comment
