I don't think he'll be a straight-up good gut after this is over, but he might be a cool anti-hero, maybe like a Space Punisher dishing out swift and harsh punishment to those who disrupt his sector.

I lost track of which Black Lanterns have been wiped out or had conneciton severed, but it would be sweet to have Abin Sur back to join Sinestro, kinda like a goodcop/bad cop deal. It would be like Lethal Weapon, Murtaugh and Riggs. Of course if his BL body has been destroyed, that's not gonna happen.

It'll be interesting to see the other color lanterns place in the DCU once this storyline is over. What the crap are they going to do with the Red Lanterns? Or Arkillo? Guess I'll have to wait for those answers.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

I always liked the analogy of the Sinestro/Hal relationship a bit akin to Training Day.

I'm sure Sinestro will be a character that struggles to walk that thin blue line (and often failing) like Black Adam and Amanda Waller.

There is a certain degree of satisfaction that he sees himself as doing the "right" thing for his perception of the greater good. Especially now that the Guardians have been proven to be manipulative little basterds in their own right. He doesn't kill for kicks, but to maintain his idea of "order".

I'm really looking forward to The New Guardians now. The concept is so inherently packed with wonderful conflict and inter-relationships. I suspect that Larfleeze will become a fan favourite cad in this group... like Doctor Smith in Lost in Space is always wreaking havok and turmoil with the Robinson Family. Saint Walker and Atrocitus are also interesting studies in contrast.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Sinestro is ultimately going to be the sole or even main hero of Blackest Night. Even with a bit more sympathetic treatment or explanation of him going bad, he's still bad.

I have a feeling he'll fail to conquer the Black Lantern Corps in GL 52 and some other hero will step to the forefront in Blackest Night 8. DC still hasn't released its cover

Sinestro is the Lucifer for the GL Corps. Pride has always been his downfall and I'm guessing it will be again.

Or maybe the White light will cleanse him of his evil.

But I don't think Johns will take the same route with Sinestro as he did with Black Adam.
Really Sinestro is a better antagonist to Jordan and the GLs today than ever, because of the way Johns has fleshed him out. Would they really want to redeem him. Too easy. There has to be another twist.

I really don't think Johns is going to allow Sinestro to have an ultimate "I told you so moment" to hold over the Guardians and Hal, like he was doing at the end of Blackest Night 7

What would make Sinestro even more angry and resentful of the GL Corps than for him to fail against the Black Lanterns or even have to gather help from the rest of the Color Corps to get it done.

But, I could be totally off base.

What better way to use that antagonism than having Hal and Sinestro struggle to work with and at cross purposes with each other within the team of New Guardians?

However this shakes out, I'm definitely looking forward to the aftermath and whichever direction they go with Sinestro will no doubt be compelling either way.

I like that..., and that Makes Perfect Sense over Redemption and or a Possible Death to Save the Universe. It more so Matches the character ..., and Given the entire Direction of Sinestro in Blackest Night ..., Makes some serious sense here ... Very good Terry.

Sinestro to me will always be the skinny red skinned guy with the yellow ring and the blue and black suit.

I love this current story run but I have a feeling it is taking us somewhere...
Perhaps the "rebirth" of a lot of "dead heroes". I just have a sneaking suspicion alot of these dead black lanterns are going to come back to life at the end of this run.
