Amazing Spider-Man Gauntlet

I was curious if anyone has been reading Amazing Spider-Man gauntlet series and whether or not it is worth buying?

I have read a few story lines on and off over the years and really haven't been too impressed.

I was in my local comic store the other day and the owner told me that the gauntlet series has been selling well and his customers who buy Spider-man say it's a good series so far even though he hasn't read them himself.

Just curious what other's thought before I go back to reading it again.

i have a subscription and it's been good to ok... it's leading somewhere and i don't really like how Aunt may is being used in the story but.. it's readable

I've really enjoyed it all so far, it's one of the better storylines of late. The artwork has been superb too and very Ditko-esque in places. The Sandman issues were wonderfully done; it left me with a massive smile on my face, which is no mean feat being a seasoned reader.

The artwork is what sucked me in initially....but I like the reworking of Spidey's classic villains so I've stayed on board with this. Right now it's a fun read and with the exception of Aunt May being a bee-yotch to Peter about him never accomplishing anything I haven't noticed any of the Brand New Day angles being thrown in my face....

It's been decent but nothing special. But you can say that about most of Marvel and DC's books.

Thanks...I do really like the artwork but was curious about the storyline as well and whether or not it is worth picking up.

How many issues are they going to run with this?
