They do here too ..., but I pick them up for the Boy ..., He will watch this like 20 times in the next week ..., and continue to watch it pretty consistantly after that too ..., He loves his DC Toons ..
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
Got mine today. Pretty cool. I got the 2 dvd special. 1st dvd had the look at the upcoming Red Hood, Spectre short, and trailers. The 2nd dvd has 2 bonus JLU episodes a docu about the DCU. Haven't watched the 2nd dvd yet. The Spectre short, imho, is worth the cost of the set alone. Huge Spectre fan and never expected to see him animated.

I was really pleasantly surprised by Next Avengers. It was great for what it was as a "What If" scenario. It was certainly better than the second Ultimate Avengers.
Crisis on Two Earths was great! James Woods and Gina Torres were brilliant as Owlman and Superwoman.
I was just reading about how this storyline was originally supposed to be a direct DVD movie that bridged the Justice League and JL Unlimited tv shows (explaining the satellite and increased roster). I think in this instance, it turned out to be much stronger as it's own thing.
LOVED all the cameos, including JL Detroit members and such a big part for Deathstroke and Rose/Ravager! Nice that they gave a more classic looking Aquaman a role in this as well!
I think this is the strongest DC DTV since New Frontier. Very smart, well thought out, acted, and executed. You have to know who the characters are though, because they give you absolutely nothing to go by. I don't think they ever even say Green Lantern's name! And the 2nd stringers are definitely not named. But most folks that will buy these know who these guys are, or know enough of them to get by.
This did have more of the feel of the JL/JLU series than the other DTVs. It explains the core line-up, which would be the core seven minus Hawgirl (who at that point was considered a traitor).
The Spectre toon was great. Definitely nailed the old creepy ways he used to make people pay. Loved the worn, faded, film-grain look. I would like to see this as a series on Adult Swim!
I highly recommend this DTV to any DC fan. My 8-year old son watched it with me. The Spectre short was a little viloent, but never really distasteful. But your mileage may vary.
Loved the Spectre toon. The lighting, film grain, soundtrack everything took me right back to 1968-73. it really evoked Dirty Harry and other films of that period as well as the classic Fliesher/Aparo Spectre series from Adventure Comics.
Chris is right. It would make an excellent addition to adult swim done just that way, or possibly since the Specter has been around since 1940, the stories could be set in any time period with the production taking on that feel of that period.
I know it wouldn't sell, on it's own, but a Spectre, Phantom Stranger, Deadman, Dr. Fate cartoon would be cool for Halloween. Throw in Batman to make it marketable.
I picked up the Blu-ray today but probably won't have a chance to watch it til the weekend. Best Buy has it for $19.99, and it comes with an Owl Man figure.
