I've been waiting for this To Happen for so very long, I hope it does. M. Knight's best Movie imo.

Somehow I can't see a sequel capturing the essence of the original.

Unbreakable was about the dualism in nature as seen in a Superhero/Supervillain relationship (which we didn't see until the twist ending).

For every good there is a bad. For every BIG good there is an equal BIG bad.

How do you do that in a sequel withou retreading?

You (the fimmaker) take a page from the Alien franchise. Where the first movie was a gothic haunted house in space and the second a military action piece. You can play the same piano just hit different notes.

Edit: Of course, this lesson might be lost on M. Night who has used the same notes a little too often.

I'd be at the theater opening day.

I wouldn't mind a sequel. Story is all that matters...if the Script is good, it'll work.

Just actually bought the DVD of the original yesterday.
I think a sequel could certainly be made....after all, the first movie was essentially an 'origin' story.

I loved Unbreakable and I'd like to see sequel, but I question the motives are pure. M. Knight Shyamalan can't make another flop and he knows it.

It was by far my favorite M. Knight flick. I am in the minority among my friends and family. Everyone else thought sixth sense was the best and unbreakable one of the worst. I am glad to see my feelings on the movie echoed here. This shows me the unfailing intelligence of our community and not the "go with the crowd" of my friends!

Count me in. I'm the only one in my groups of friends that loved this movie. Best superhero movie I've seen. Love the acting and the reality.

Loved the first movie, the twist at the end was superb. Not sure if they could carry the magic over into a sequel. You also get the feeling that it's being made for the wrong reasons, ie, trying to bank a hit on the coattails of the original. I do hope I'm proved wrong.

One of my favorite movies ever. Completely blew me away when I saw it in the theatres, and I still pull the DVD out and watch it periodically.
