He's a major talent for sure.

If DC decides to retain him, his contract has to have some incentivize clauses built in. For someone of his stature and tenure, he's probably getting around 200-225 dollars a page. Bump him up to around 275 if the pages come in on time. Otherwise, let him go.

His peers have no problems with deadlines. Ivan Reis, who is probably the best artist DC has, is always on time and a true professional. I guess it's all about how you approach your craft. If Sciver cannot develop that sense of purpose and maturity, he needs to find his own path away from DC.

Sciver Really didn't Have a Huge Problem with Dead Lines Until Flash Rebirth 4 ..., Atleast before then, it wasn't something that Slapped you in the Face like Flash Rebirth 4-6 Does. Dude Needed to Stay off of MySpace, FaceBook and Take them Doughnuts outta His Mouth, and get that book Done !

I would think DC Would want him .... , I dunno thought, Artists change Companies so much ..., I could see him at Marvel too.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

always trading for Hot Toys Figures .

DC needs to keep him....how's this for incentive...Let Van Sciver do the Plastic Man series he's been wanting to do for years.

As far as the deadline thing, I think Flash Rebirth bit him in the butt partially because of Geoff Johns scripting everything under the sun...Flash Rebirth has been weak and obviously Johns had some problems which may have caused some art delays. Especially with someone as super-detailed as Van Sciver (see: George Perez on Legion of 3 Worlds)
