Thors Hammer vs. Mageneto VS Captain Americas Shield

I actually won a No Prize for this. Back when Stans Soap Box was teh only way to get one.

In 1999 or so I wrote and asked if Magneto could affect Mjnonor. Stan Lee said in the response no because Thors hammer wasnt made of metal. then he copped out and said he couldnt say what it was because Odin would come get him.

Uru Metal. Ive heard it many times.

Anyway I'm no Mutant OR Thor expert so I asked john Byrne at a convention. he said no because Magneto only affects metals with Iron in them.

Now what I want to know. My experience is limited to Punisher, Captain America and Hulk. Up untill last year I had every issue they appeared in and reprints of the Early Cap and Hulk. ( I did not have Avengers or Defenders)

Now has Magneto ever faced Caps shield? Wouldnt he just wrap it around his head? In fact other than Secret Wars and that STUPID disintergrating shield trick in 2000 or so Caps shield has never been damaged right?

These are the problems that come up when youre playing with your figures. Does to me.

Hmmmm.... I thought it was an admantium/vibranium alloy. Vibranium absorbs and negates energy (hence Cap not being squished by superstrong blows, the shield absorbs the kinetic energy) so THEORETICALLY Magneto's power wouldn't work.

....depending on who's writing that day....

I Believe after Wolverine was Introduced.... The Idea was then throw out there that His Shield was Admantium .... Which is ofcourse Indistructable. .... I think that Since Thor's Hammer came from the Gods..., and Even God's have proven they Too can "Fall" .... I'd give it to Cap's Shield.

And in the Books ... Magneto Ripped out Wolverine's Admantium Skeleton ..., So I think He could have his Way with the Shield as well.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

          It's a game of rock-paper-scissors....

Magneto has been shown to effect Adamantium (Wolverine's skeleton) but Cap's shield is a Vibranium/Adamantium alloy which negates Magneto's power. And Thor's uru hammer trumps 'em all because it's a magical composition.

Why would the alloy negate Magneto?

( Love you guys! " Depending on who's writing that day." Too true.)

Vibranium absorbs and neutralizes all forms of energy, including magnetism. So THEORETICALLY it'd negate his power.... unless the admantium in the alloy was enough to counter the effect.

As for Thor's hammer.... I seem to recall Magneto not being able to move it in one book ('cos he's not worthy) BUT he used his powers to keep Thor away from it by locking it in a forcefield. And Thor vs Cap; according to the RPG, Thor's hammer is more durable than Cap's shield, but Thor does damage with it equal to the amount Cap can block.

I remember after Cap had his shattered shield "fixed" ( after the laser shiel etc) Cap tested it by having thor shoot power bolts at it.

*whisper* don't tell Hector but Caps shield might be unbreakable even by the Man of Steel!
