Teen Titans....How Would You Fix It?

DC seems to have no idea what to do with the once-great Titans franchise....
Constant reboots and restarts have eroded this team.
I think part of the problem was having the former "New" Teen Titans
spun off as "The Titans" and having new guys take their place as the
"Teens" with their own team. Coupled with the fact that certain players
were bumped up to JLA status (I'm looking at YOU Nightwing and Donna
Troy....Wally West Flash sort of had no choice because Barry Allen was dead for so long).

I'd like to see a re-launched team (I know, part of the problem all of these re-launches) once the stink wears off...
Mix the old with the new and keep them A-listers (Miss Martian and the Zatanna guy can go away).

I'd like to see the Teen Titans be...Teens! I kind of liked the older Titans hanging out and helping Tim and co. in John's early issues, but honestly, these guys are in their mid-20s at least. Move on.

Tim, Bart, Conner, Cassie, Speedy, Arrowette, Batgirl (Steph), Lagoon Boy (is he still alive?)...once all the endless crossover and crap is done for a bit, and Bruce is back, and Tim is Robin (please Lord, no Damien) just put a good solid creative team on the book, call it Teen Titans and go. What's so hard about that?

I agree with Chris. I liked the book just fine when it was rebooted with Tim, Cassie, Connor, Bart, etc and Cyborg and Starfire hanging around as mentors. I had no problem with Ravager, or even Miss Martian, but I hated Kid Devil and some of the later teen versions of other characters.

You Know Man, I read Titans. Yes I do.
I dunno Why,.. if I was Asked..., I guess it would Be ,.. Because Well, I like the Titans. When the Book 1st Started ... it was ok..., been then got Kinda Good imo..., when Match showed Up,.. with Jericho in His Body ... But then Quickly Went South,.. Like Off the Planet Suck Arse ..., When Dick Left to go become Batman ..., and Ever Since,.. it's pretty much been Lame..., for like 10 issues, of Raven, Cyborg, Beastboy, Starfire, Donna and Roy ,... Trying to seemingly find their place in Hero Land, with the Team and ,... They Just seem like a Bunch of Mental Pussies .

Wally's really concerned with His Head Being up Barry's Arse..., Because now He's Back..., and doesn't want anything to do with the Titans.


I read Teen Titans too.
Always Have after the New Relaunch... I have Issue's 1-79 ... And read them All,.. almost, there is a few inbetween,.. that I didn't yet. For the Most Part ..., I really like the Book..., I dislike a few of the New Team,.. Beetle, Static, Armored ***** , Aqua-Chick ..., But really Like Mis ManHunter. I think she's a real cool character ..., and believe the Writer really has done a good job with Her..., certainly a lot better than what people have done with Martian ManHunter in recent Yrs. .

My Favorite Time for Teen Titan's ( as far as the New Run Goes) Is after 1 yr later. The Team was Great...., I liked the Chaos that was Presented..., Because .., well they are Just Kids... The Only thing I didn't like, was Conner being Dead..., but maybe that Added to the Greatness, with the Others ?. The Team at the Time was ...

That would Give Micheal something to Do.


But Who Know's ..., I hear a pretty Consistand Rumor..., that DeathStroke the Terminator,.. is Comming back to lead & Coach the Kids..., SO that might be enough..., as far as sales go.

Two words: "Mad Mod." Or to be more general; add some SURPRISES! I didn't read the book back in the day, but in the late 90's I got caught up, and I MUCH preferred the 60's version. The 80's Titans has nothing really special about it. It's a standard superhero soap with all the standard stories. 'Course; some of them were new when they did them, but over the years they became the norm, so trying to relive THOSE glory days is gonna come across as old hat. Get away from the "No! They're PERTINENT 'cos they deal with issues and stuff!" One of the running themes of the 60's book was how active the Titans were in the community. Bring back some of that. Considering hte community in the DC universe hyjinks will INEVITABLY ensue.

hey Black Knight, my understanding is Deathstroke and Ravanger will be in the Titans book. Basically another Secret Six type thing.

Teen Titans will be Cassie, Superboy, Blue Beetle and so on.

I'd like to see Tim back with the group. Titans isn't Titans without a Robin or Nightwing.

It seems like the Perez/Wolfman characters are becoming the JLA with a few other characters.

I don't know how I would fix the book. Maybe, bring Wolfman back to write it or Johns.

Agreed somewhat...but I'm not so sure I want them moving on over to the JLA at the expense of Diana, Ollie, Bruce, etc. That's why I say keep them on a "Titans" team even if they're assisted by younger guys and gals.

^^ Yeah, the older Titans are like those guys that still hang out with high school friends after they graduated. I still don't care for them moving on to the JLA either. It was a good idea when they had Roy and Dick over in Outsiders.

Don't think I'm really that interested unless Geoff Johns wants to come back at this point.

Maybe if they gave the title to Terry Moore to write? I've enjoyed his Runaways and Gen 13 issues. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other writers who would do a great job with teen characters.
