    Comic book storage box/cabinet?

Time to revamp my comic book storage. I am currently using long boxes and a few short boxes. Well, I HATE the long boxes. Hard to store, and harder to get into. I don't have a clue why I used to like them. So I was planning to buy some more short boxes and do away with the long boxes..then I saw this....

Have any of you used these at all? I am wondering just how sturdy they are, and if they will last. They would certainly be way convenient.

Those look nice. They appear similar to the drawer boxes we've started to use, only those filing things will allow you to use your old longboxes without lids. Drawer boxes are nice and sturdy, basically like single versions of those.

You know, I just noticed that that is only for the outer cabinet/casing, and I would still have to buy two short storage boxes per cabinet. Ouch. Maybe I will just stick to regular short boxes.....but I don't know, these would be pretty much perfect for what I need. Will look into the drawer boxes you speak of.

Check with Riffster. He has some nice comic type cabinets. He turned me onto these and for some reason I can't find the link.

I've used the long box drawers and they have turned out to be better than long boxes, but challenging of themselves once you pull them out and they tip the weight balance of your stack of boxes. If I were to do it again, I'd probobly go with those short box drawers.

There are little plastic buttons (BoxLox) that lock the long Drawer Boxes together & make them less likely to tip over (only pull out one drawer at a time tho). I've locked groups of 3 or 4 boxes together and it has worked pretty well.

I had to move onto short boxes because of my soine surgery. I just can't lift that much and I move around alot.

That web page had me at " Stop stacking and unstacking"

Still for shows and teh like I think a few lidded ones are good to keep around.

I just hope they arent as hard for me to figure out how to assemble as the lidded boxes were.

My friend stores his Spider-man comic collection in a fire-proof filing cabinet. All are bagged and boarded. He's not taking any chances.

Riffster, are those long or short ones?

Planning to order some of these next week or so. Can't freakin' wait to get re-organized.
