The thread stated we should keep an open mind right? So why not?
If we do play the game that there can be "colourblind" multi-ethnic casting, then I would imagine Tyler James Williams of Everybody Hates Chris is about the right age now to pull off Peter Parker. If we stick Ray Park in the suit for all the action stuff, that pretty much covers it in the fantasy casting.
Rather than scream that the New Spiderman reboot will suck...without even have seen it...I prefer to be optimistic.
so in that spirit...let's try and cast the Teenage Peter Parker. My pick is Thomas Dekker from "Terminator:The Sarah Conner Chronicles. http://megomuseum.com/mmgallery/files/3/8/dekker.jpg
You know...he has the right look.
But...
I absolutely hated his "downer" no personality persona in the Sarah Chronicles...just for that...he should go stand in the corner.
Sam Jackson Fury is more so Axcepted..., do to the Fact that in the Comicbook,.. The Ultimate Titles, Fury has been Black for over 10 Yrs.
However, Fury Die Hard Fans from the Old School Books, as well as Sgt. Fury Day's , do not really even Like the Idea .
We have covered this before, Multiple Times.
There's Only been a Few Times imo ..., where a Race Changed actually Worked in Comicbook Movies..., and that is In No Way the Answer for a Good Spider-man Film ..., More so Since he is the Main Character ,.. and the Idea of Spidey Being a Black Man just Never Happened in the Books ...
For the Record..., a Mexican Spidey wouldn't work out so well either...
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

Really It doesnt matter . We should never see him anyway , just the costume. I want a superhero film with just the superhero. That why back before Spiderman came out I was hoping they would have Jackie Chan play the part of Spiderman. Sure have a different guy when he takes off teh mask but WOW have you seen Rumble in the Bronx? Totally Spidrman!
Bill Bixby didnt have teh muscles so they had a different guy play the hulk why not?
I just want to see a STUNT MAN . In a live action action film. Not a cartoon in a teen romance.
Bruce Cambell did a great speech about Hollywood taking over teh B films . It's on You tube somewhere. He also was down on them using so many young actors when they werent appropriate for teh part.
