I need help identifying a comic book character

I lived in Guadalajara, Mexico, way back from 70-77.

I used to go to this comic shop in Plaza del Sol...a very famous shopping center.

I used to browse through comics...the shop had a collection of not only Mexican comics, but American as well.

    One really caught my attention.

It was about a creature...built like the Patchwork Man...or Frankenstein's Monster...but it had the oddest-looking head.

Well...the head was that of a very child-like person...very strange.

This comic was in English...but for the life of me...I don't remember the title.

It has stuck in my mind ever since.

I tried googling it...but to no avail.

I hope one of you actually knows what I'm talking about.

It would be totally awesome to finally find out who that creature with the baby face might be.

    Thanks in advance.

Man, the only thing that comes to mind is Brother Power, The Geek.
Any more info on the story or publisher?

I really can't recall...I was like 8 years old...my memory is kinda fuzzy on the comic...but the imagery really stuck to me.

He's built like a big muscular creature with thin long legs...like Patchwork Man...but the head is shrunken...and has baby-like qualities.

He also looks very tormented...like he's in some sort of agony/anguished/conflicted/saddened.

      Strange...I know.

            I googled him...and no...not him either.

That one has a flat top and green skin...my monster had an actual kid's head and face....with Caucasian features.

Thanks for helping me out guys...keep trying though...

Was he in a comic from Marvel or DC ? A serious character or more cartoony like a Dell or Gold Key character?

I'm wondering if it might've been a once & done story in an anthology title.

Was the child-monster featured on the cover of the comic?

Here is my guess. Richard Corben drawn (I think Bruce Jones written?). Appeared in a few of the Warren Magazines. Really disturbing Frankenstein child.

It was just a coincidence as well that it was on my mind... I just purchased two other volumes of Comix International this week and am working on completing my set.

I'm a HUGE Richard Corben fan.

Comix International are pretty costly though (when you can find them), they are generally colored reprints and highly desirable because they are kind of a "best of" for Warren material. Let me think if I can remember the Creepy's and Eeries that the story originally appeared (although it might be b&w, not colour).

Okay, I just dug it out and it turns out that #3 was in fact one of the ones that I bought this week! How's that for synchronicity eh Hector?

                            So it's a two-parter.

According to muuta.net, it originally appeared in Eearie #58 and #60 (scripted by two different people who are NOT Bruce Jones) in black and white.

However, the most affordable way for you to get it is the recent Heavy Metal Magazine (or hardcover book) reprint. Plus you'd get all that other fantastic Corben Warren material as well. Highly recommended.
