they're NEVER warranted when you don't have all the facts I don't think you have personally spoken to the director tbolt, so you can't say for sure what he wants.

I've read everything there is to read on it this as well and I think there are smoke-screens being planted by the people in charge. Just my opinion.

Truth be told, no one knows for sure yet where this is headed. I say reserve judgment until you have something concrete to judge instead of rumors and inuendos and press releases.

I still stand by my prediction that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be cast as Spidey/Parker.

I really want him...he has the look and physicality...plus he's a great actor.

But then again, I want him as the Joker too.

...and you know...thinking about it...Zach Efron would not be a bad choice either...he's young, popular, and not a half bad little actor.

The only issue with him is that he's a tad too pretty...I'm not sure if he can pull being a geek/nerd effectively enough.

The director has already stated that he wants to play up the teen drama over the Super Action, and that Ultimate Spidey, not regular old Ditko/Lee will be his template. I know you are just in denial Derek. If this holds up its going to be a turdburger.

Yeah...and Sony also mandated that the Movie be shot in 3 D(which Rami didn't want to do, so it's one of the reasons he walked). Do really think tbolt...that they're are going to all the trouble of shooting in 3 D...and not going to have lots of Superhero action scenes? I think not!

‘Course.... what does that mean? It SOUNDS bad, but couldn’t that also describe the first three? Or ANY film; since they ALWAYS throw in the romantic subplot? To me, this sounds like hyperbole in an effort to make more girls think they’re gonna see a heartthrob as romantic lead. I’m willing to bet this is gonna be a pretty typical superhero film.

Producers, directors, actors.... all say a LOT of things. Usually provided by the marketing department.....

....which is why; yeah, you never know for sure until it’s actually out. Sure, you can make guesses.... but you gotta remember they’re still just guesses. (How many fans of the Bourne movies would have thought Marky Mark could have any sort of career without the Funky Bunch?)
