Best "could've been" actor as Superman?

    Clint Walker.

On many Superman forums...he's the fan favorite.

    Too bad he's now 82 years old...lol.

Like I said...too bad he's 82...but the word is that he's going to play Rambo's father in Rambo V...

Looks like he would have fit the bill in his prime. Too bad superheroes were considered fodder for serials and kiddie shows at the time. Throw in Kirk Douglas for Bats and you'd have a really good World's Finest.

Clint Walker was even "dream-cast" as Superman in the 60s. In TwoMorrow's Justice League Companion, there is a snippet about a 60s paperback called "Letters to Batman". Some kid wrote in suggesting who should join Adam (Batman) West for a JLA team-up. He picked Walker as Superman as well.

I always though Burt Lancaster would have been great choice, too.

Brando in the Young Ones looks the part, too.

Walker would have made a great Superman. I personally always thought Steve Reeves would have made a Cool Superman and no Pads needed under the suit...lol!

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
