    Blackest Night Weird western #71

    Anybody getting it?
    Or have it already?
This was one of my main series back in the day.Nice to see them picking up where the original left off I like that instead of just one shots.

I had high hopes for it, even with Dan DiDio writing it, was looking forward to the Black Lantern Western heroes...but the book itself was incidental to the BN series, a "red sky" crossover only.

Still, nice to see DC acknowledge that western heroes DID exist prior to Jonah Hex. Now if they would only collect Johnny Thunder or the Trigger Twins into a couple Showcase volumes....

I'm not saying you shouldn't buy it if it looks like something you want. I bought it for the same reasons you mention, and because I really like the Silver Age western heroes.

I'm saying it's not necessary to buy it as part of the Blackest Night storyline...it has Black Lanterns in it and they fight heroes. Nothing else in it advances the story in any way, as it did in BN Titans or BN Flash.

            It was ok ...
It was kinda a 1 shot story,.. that ran pretty fast threw ...
You were waiting for Black Lantern Hex to show up ..., And I feel when He did, He didn't disapoint.
