The best thing to come out of Lois and Clark was the hotness of Teri Hatcher....other than that, I think it ruined the Superman franchise with the whole wedding shenanigans.....

Lois and Clark is an abortion to the Superman franchise.

      So is Smallville.

I watched (and taped) every episode of L&C and Smallville is awesome...especially this season. Haven't missed an episode yet.
And Teri did a jaw-dropping striptease on Desperate Housewives on Sunday.

Be careful what you wish for. All these years we wanted more chicks in the comic shop and look where it gets us.

I want a auperhero film with just superheroes not romance! And LOTS of costumes!

And Jackie Chan in the suit not a cartoon!

This will be like a Harry Potter Twilight nightmare.

Film is artform with the most teamwork. SO it becomes a case of too many cooks in the kitchen .

The Dark Knight sucks, but Lois & Clark and Smalville were good? Time to take your meds again

The movies were ok. I still haven't seen the 2nd one all the way through without falling asleep. I'm more of a DC guy anyway but nobody can seem to make a decent DC (Superman) movie to save their life. Dark Knight sucked. Haven't seen Watchmen but heard that sucked.
                  Rich
Watchmen is good but the material became dated with the end of the cold war. it's almost a panel for panel conversion of the comic the only modern part is vynl/leather instead of spandex costumes ala X men films

Dark knight is thought of as the BEST batman film yet by many (personally I liked Batman begins better but it was still very good)

Not many film-makers, directors are fans of the characters they make movies of. Not many directors take the extra care to make good superhero movies like Christopher Nowlan did with the Batman Films. Riami may have taken some heat for Spider-Man 3 but it was undeserved. It has leaked all over that the studio butted heads with him. For what-the inclusion of Venom? If never including Venom means every Spider-man film is a good film and a block-buster then screw Venom. Clearly Riami knows what he's doing and there are plenty of villains to choose from; besides most villains are killed at the end of each film anyway. Did the studio think they would use only Venom in every sequel from now on?

You can probably expect the re-boot to resemble Sidney J. Furie's Superman 4, Brett Ratner's X-Men 3 or Joel Schumacher's Batman and Robin. Even the James Cameron script was released years ago and it was total garbage.

                    http://www.script-o-rama.com/movie_s...s-cameron.html

Cameron isn't interested but if he was I would say keep him away. He will change too many things.
I don't think saying Donner was a superman fan when he made the films is accurate. he was aware of Superman but no more so than anyone who grew up in the 40's or 50's would be. He gave the character A heartfelt treatise that has become the iconic version for many but his film is very different from the Superman of the comics up to that point (a big example is Hackman's Luthor)
Raimi is a true comic fan going out of his way to tip his cap to the populate culture and comic history at the same time.

I watched Lois and Clark religiously back in the day, but even then I knew 70% of the scripts were awful. I had a major crush on Hatcher, and her and Cain had good chemistry, so that kept me interested.

I stayed with Smallville through thick and thin for a long time, but last year's Doomsday abortion just killed it for me. I watch it now and again, and what I've seen isn't bad. I look forward to the JSA movie.

But overall I wouldn't put either in a catergory even close to Dark Knight, or the first 2 Spidey movies, or the first 2 Superman flicks, or X-Men 1& 2, or...

                      But that's just me.

Getting back to Spiderman, I never liked the whole cast.
It didn't work for me. Maguire was too soft, he didn't have that Parker edge to him. He looked like he was sleepwalking all the time.
Dunst was never MJ, she lacked the fire. MJ is a woman, not a shy teenager...

So I applaude this new change, though I'm afraid we're going for the Teen Spider now. As if younger audiences are the only ones that matter.
                        What will it be?
                        Spiderman vs Doctor Acne?
"Auntie May, I broke my webshooters! Can I have some new ones, please?! Pleeeeaaase?!"
                        .
                        .
                        .

I liked the first two Spidey films and I did like moments in the third but not as a whole.

I'm not interested in a reboot.

I was sorta hoping for a Pixar Spiderman movie.

I think I am the only person in the world who enjoyed both Superman Returns and Spider-man 3. Oh, heck! Put Star Trek V on my list, too!

Sad to see the current cast go on the Spider Films. I thought at least they were going to stay on to bring in the Lizard.
                            It's all good!

                                >use the original classic Green Goblin tragedy storyline...with the old school Goby look...none of that stupid Power Rangers outfit with metal mask and visor.

Yeah; I didn’t care for the sentai armour either; but rather than ANOTHER Goblin story, howzabout another bad guy? It’s like the Batman/Joker thing, sure they want the most recognizable baddie but it makes the setting look really small.

                                >Have Goby kill Gwen Stacey at the Brooklyn Bridge...

It always seemed like that’s what they were getting at for the end of the first film; but didn’t follow through. Maybe to agitate the old school fans? (Or maybe more wholesale scooping of old plot lines?)

                                >Use Gwen Stacey...not Mary Jane.

Or maybe.... NOBODY! But that’s not gonna happen either. “A romantic subplot will draw 2.3% more female viewers!”

                                >Have his face covered by a simple but very cool rubber mask.

Movie superhero outfits always bug me, ‘cos they feel the need to busy them up. (AND go all latex, but I bet that’s ‘cos not too many actors have the appropriate build. I’m looking at YOU; everybody in The Watchmen!) A friend sent me cosplayer pics from a few comic conventions he’d gone to in Japan and it amazed me how so many AMATEURS could accurately capture the comic book look, whereas so many pros can’t.

                                >Organic webs would come out his backside, not wrists.

True.... but I don’t think anyone wants to see that.
