GOOD! I f we HAVE to have anything other than the !970's Armor, somethink sleek. Less Manga more Ultra Man.
I'd like to see him go BACK in armor fashion in European orgins. Doom always build up his armor but doesnt make a grand show about it.Comment

They should put him back into this suit but update the weapons. This was the classic Ironman and will always be the only Ironman suit in my book officially.

It's too bad that they don't try to bring back a streamlined version of the 70's armour.
It's simplicity is what constitutes high tech these days. Iron Man armour should be as sleek and thin and as almost-seamless as an ipod by now. Sure, bring out the Bulky Armour if you need to fight the Hulk or whatever.
I loved that scene in which ever issue of Iron Man showed how that armour actually functioned and could fit into a briefcase. With the yellow parts as a steel mesh that gets sucked into the boots, guantlets and chestplate.
The new armour is step in the right direction, but still too "busy" in terms of contemporary design aesthetics for gizmos and electronics.Comment

Yeah. I think we're seeing the result of Ghost in the Shell/Appleseed/BGC design ethic filtering in though. You see LOTS of stuff that looks like this; including the movie suit. Although they're a bit behind: RPG's from the 90's were full of this kind of design.
I'd like to see the 70's/80's style suit too. It was distinct, and eluded to a technology different from other comics. (And BGC did this sort of thing a LOT better a few years back....)
