Read it, liked it. Kirkman didn't spare the gore - which rivaled his B&W series The Walking Dead - but I guess, how could he when the guy is called Destroyer? Got a bit of a chuckle how the gory action scenes contrasted with the domestic life/ facing his own mortality parts. Was his son-in-law's costumed identity (Turret) in the Golden Age comics?

wondering if he had a sidekick, have found nothing about it yet. Kirkman said he wrote it as if the book was still being published from the golden age, so some ofthe characters and backstory may be for this book.
You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie Banks
The more Kirkman I see/read, the more convinced I am the the dude just really needs a hug.
"If you take a dog which is starving and feed him and make him prosperous, that dog will not bite you. This is the primary difference between a dog and a man."
here I was hoping for a Thread about the old Atlas comic character - man am I old
If it's the character created by Stan Lee, that is what kicked off the thread... Robert Kirkman revived him in a new miniseries.
Just read Imagine United #2, and I'm officially "out" of that one. The art isn't meshing as well and looks more rushed than the first issue. Plus I think you really need to be a huge Image Comic fan to appreciate the "Where's Waldo" approach to this miniseries (which Kirkman obviously is). Not really my cup of tea.
