So what did you guys think of the choices for the Legion of Substitute Colored Lanterns? Mera and Ray are starting to make much more sense.

I like the fact that they are evoking his look from the Atom The mini Barbarian days.

Which of the Blackest Night Cancelled Comics Calvacade are you looking forward to the most?

Denny O'Neil back on The Question and James Robinson writing Starman again have me excited. Also looking forward to seeing what Geoff Johns has planned for Hawkman and Atom.

Haven't read Blackest Night #6 yet...but I am looking forward to all of the revived titles....this has just been a fun romp so far and I really don't plan on skipping any of it.
Of course, anything Geoff Johns writes is almost guaranteed gold right now....James Robinson SHOULD do well on the Starman book, considering those are his characters anyway, but his recent DC work has me a wee bit skeptical.

I liked them giving Ray Palmer the nod to the Sword of the Atom era, and it fit well with the look of the Indigo lanterns. I'm really happy to see Mera getting such a huge part in all this, she's been a really neglected character forever. Always liked her look.

Looking forward to the Starman and Atom/Hawkman issues, those wre some of my favorite old series. And the Weird Western, simply because it'll be interesting to see those old characters back again. From the cover illo, it looks like Super-Chief and Scalphunter are in it, as well as Bat Lash. Hoping Johnny Thunder, Madame .44, the Trigger Twins, Wyoming Kid, Nighthawk, get a nod as well. Major players in the 50s era, totally neglected by DC in any western revival in favor of Jonah Hex and crew. I would so love to see an All-Star Western Showcase book with Johnny & Trigger Twins in it. All good stuff with Gil Kane & Infantino art, even some Alex Toth.

I had almost forgotten about the Hawkman / Atom Book !
I hope they cover the point Where the Black Lantern Hawkman , Tell's Ray to come on over threw the Phone. That would be Fantastic !

I went to my comic shop yesterday and he didn' get a shipment. Nothing. He said it was the first time that's ever happened. I guess he'll get them next week. I was looking forward to this.

^ Blackest Night #6 was the ONLY comic to ship last week..All other companies skipped the week entirely. You probably had to think it was worth your while as a comic shop owner to have it shipped solo, otherwise most places will probably just double up with this week's order.

^^^ when I saw that,.. I couldn't believe it was the only book..., there was actually 3 books that came out on Wed,...., I don't remember ever seeing something like that before, however also never paid that much attention.

They actually shipped it with LAST WEEKS books in a special box sealed with a notice that it was not to be opened or sold until this week.

There were a pile of independent books that shipped as well if you have a comic store that stocks beyond the big four.
