My son chose this comic out of the dollar bins recently, nothing major except I remember liking this comic when it came out, got a nice surprise as we opened it up.
Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson signatures, great find for a seven year old.

Had a few great comic book finds like that: One was issue #1 of Jon Sable Freelance signed inside by Mike Grell, and an issue of the Hulk magazine signed by Lou Ferrigno. The biggest find was a 1967 Batman paperback for a dollar, opened it up and it was signed by Adam West!
I remember when Archie Goodwin would draw an occasional strip on the Bullpen Bulletins pages of Marvel books in the 80s. He always drew himself like that.
Great find!!! The most I ever found was a double-cover.

Didn't he also draw cartoon intro's on the inside front cover the the Epic comics he edited as well?
What a wonderful treasure to have Goodwin and Williamson's sigs.
Both DC and Marvel suffered greatly from Goodwin's absence.
A couple years ago my local comic shop had a collection of Don Newton stuff. All the issues of everything he penciled over his career. Reputedly this was Newton's personal collection (Newton lived in Phoenix). I purchased a few issues that I needed for my collection. When I opened up one issue there was a small piece of paper with a sketch by Newton on it.

You lucky dog! I loved Don Newton's stuff. Vastly under-rated. One of the best, most original illustrators to ever work in comics.

I tucked it away somewhere. If I run across it I'll scan it and post it.
I'm currently reading the Dollar Comics run of Adventure Comics and Newton did a lot of art in those.
