    Three favorite individual comic issues?

The Real worlds story of a mentally impaired young man who thinks he is the Adam West Batman.

That one issue of Spider man where a kid has an imaginary Spiderman friend and in the end he takes off the mask and hes black like him. ( PLEASE tell me this issue. I only read it in the store . It was this decade not sure which Spidey title)

The Swamp Thing american gothic story " The sound of the hammers must never stop. about a house haunted with all the ghosts killed by a certain gun.

Wow! You have great taste in comics!

For me it's a tossup between that issue and the one where Peter goes to the ball game. Jenkins' was a hugely underrated run on Peter Parker.

supposedly this story was based on the real life winchester mansion.

          Hmmmm....

Tough call; but I think I'd go with:

-Eagle Comics' Judge Dredd 3. "Gaze into the fist of Dredd!"
-First's Lone Wolf and Cub 3. "When you meet your parents, kill your parents."
-Those Annoying Post Bros number 7. "I guess you'd call that a bull's eye."

I can't hunt down the images.., but my three from childhood (circa 1973..) are:

FF #138 (it was the only comic I had during a LONG summer drive through the hot Southwest, sitting in the back of a Buick by myself..)
MTU #13 (Cap AND Spidey..?? My TWO favorite characters together?? It was to die for..)
Spiderman #122 (missing #121, it was the first 'death' I'd ever seen in a comic..)

            Runner-Up..: Avengers 117 (BEST Cap/Subby fight EVER..!!)

This one was the one I must have read the most when I was a kid

There was also a Justice League of America that I read a lot as a kid where a magician turned the league into half man half animal. Batman had the head of a mouse and he had to avoid a giant owl. One of the heroes turned into a snake, etc. I just tried to look for the issue on-line and came up with nothing. Probably not the greatest story ever, but one that I remember reading over and over again as a kid. So it made an impact.

As a young adult, I always enjoyed this Annual as a stand alone Star Trek story and if I recall it was the first time Captain Pike was used in a comic.
              It's all good!

Thank you for the compliment and Thank you for solving the Spidey issue for me. I wanted to buy out the store to pass out at work but never got around to going back.

I'll have to read that Ballpark issue you mentioned !

Once in a while I''l get a stand alone Batman that stands out but good stand alone issues seem rare in Superhero books.

                I forgot all about Concrete!!!!!

I want to go and scoop up a bunch of independant black and white from the late 1980s.
