    Kamandi on Brave and Bold

Watched the second episode featuring Kamandi tonight on B&B and loved it! I know Kirby lifted a lot of this from Planet of the Apes, but it is still a cool concept and I would love to see a Kamandi series!!
(I do wish Mr. Miracle had more to do in the episode though.)

Bruce Timm pitched a Kamandi series to KidsWB at one time. He wanted to adapt Kirby's entire run on the series straight into animation. Too bad it never got off the ground!

IIRC Timm couldn't accept the changes kids wb suggested, I am glad he walked off rather than deliver half a show. One of these days we'll see a decent adaptation.

For as much as he's done for WB/DC, they should reward Timm with his own series of direct to video Kamandi adaptations or some such.

The fact that he refused to compromise the original Kirby stories shows you how much passion he has for it.

or at least some webisode format if they don't want the expense of dvd releases. I bet Bruce would do it for almost nothing just to see it done.

I think it was rumored that if JLU went another season,Kamandi might have shown up. There was talk about doing mostly time travel stories.
