I'm tired of xmen films. That said his x1 and x2 were good. While it may get him back on track it's almost like saying he can only do x films (I'd rather see him on some other project)
I'm interested to see if they view this as a reboot or they'll tie it in to X3. It's going to be heard to explain Angel in this unless they mindwipe him for his role in X3.
But it sounds like at least it's going in the right direction.
I think he's best served doing what Joel Schumacher did after the big Batman debacle... go back and make a small low budget movie like Phone Booth, to show you still have chops to tell a story in an engaging way without the fireworks.
Bryan Singer's best film is The Usual Suspects IMHO.

They're basing it on the Comic Book "X-Men: First Class"...so it will be Cyclops, Jean, Angel, Iceman & Beast! And I for one am not sick of X-Men...just the BAD Writers & Directors of X-3 & Wolverine:Origins...destroying my beloved X-Men!
I sure would like to see some decent costuming. I liked the first 2 Xmen movies but wasn't overjoyed with them. Superman? Blech. I'm not sure Singer is capable of making a GOOD superhero movie. Not on the edge of my seat to see this movie but hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
X-Men 1 was Ok...
X-men 2 Never lived up to the Hype of the Opening scene with Night Crawler.., then Screwed X-Fan's over with the Tease of 3seconds with Colossus ..
X-3 .... Why Didn't Storm Die ? Grammer's Beast was Awesome .
Wolverine was My personal Fav.
Can't say I am Confident Singer will give me something cool at this Point..., looking more forward to seeing Wolverine 2.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
I thought he was going to do the Battlestar Galactica film with Glen Larson based on the orginal 1978 show.Im tired of X-MEN!
That's only in pre-production. Most directors have 2 or 3 films that would be in pre-production while they direct and shoot something else. The pre-production stuff either blossoms for the next gig or fades away and something new comes in.
Singer did a great job with X-1 & X-2. They were some of the first Comic Book Movies to treat the material seriously.
X-3 was so bad it doesn't deserve mention. Wolverine sucked as well...so I'm not holding out hope they will be able to make a decent Wolverine Movie, until I hear they've signed a good Director.
