The Return Of Bruce Wayne

DC announced on the SourceBlog today a six issue miniseries for next summer THE RETURN OF BRUCE WAYNE.
Bruce trapped in time an jumping era to era "hoping the next leap will be the leap home". I dunno, I like the idea, don't have confidence in Morrisson to tell a straight adventure without pointless meandering off course. Basically it looks like a way to tell time travel stories though, which is always cool. Would be great to see Prof. Carter Nichols involved as well.
The only other sticking point I foresee is that Andy Kubert is doing the art, and unless they have the first five issues in the can already, this mini will run into the following year until he gets it done. And knowing DC's track record, they gave him the assignment 12 minutes before announcing the onsale date. look for Phil Jiminez to do the last two issues.

Meh. It looks like they are revisting some "Elseworlds" type stories. Quite a bit of a spoiler they announced though. Although we knew that the body from Final Crisis wasn't really him though.

Yeah Morrison is the sticking point for me too....Professor Nichols should be a no-brainer though, as Morrison has stolen other story ideas from the 50s

Its weird how the two stories are reflecting each other (Cap and Bats). The sidekicks take over the role of the mentor and the mentor lost in time. maybe Rip Hunter will show, too. Morrison claims he's got two years worth of Dick as Batman plotted. Bet Wayne won't be Bats for a while after he comes back if at all.

Seems like Batman and Captain America have been bouncing off each other for awhile for similar ideas.

The return of Jason Todd....the return on Bucky....etc.

it was a no brainer this would happen. you cannot have Batman without Bruce Wayne. Dick Grayson is great but he is just a guy wearing Batmans costume. I want Nightwing back and get rid of that annoying brat Damien too. oh wait, didn't that just happen in issue 6? They should have waited to announce the return series until Blackest Night is done though since "Bruces" body plays such an integral part in that story.
