^^^ That little bit remonds me of the early 90's version of the costume when they dropped the trunks and went darker to look a bit like the movie version. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. I kind of like Gary Frank's take on Batman. It's good to see the yellow oval again. And, bad *** Alfred is kind of intriguing.
As for Superman. Unless we see Supes taken back to his radio Super Public Advocate roots, I'm just not interested. Especially this soon after Johns retold the origin.Comment

I wonder what plans Johns/Frank have for The Joker?Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

Meh.
ANOTHER reboot....? Whatever. The only thing that really bothers me about this sort of thing is that it seems like they're trying to rehash the old stuff with slight prods to "modern" it all up. Like they're honestly admitting there are no more Batman stories to tell. (which is sad, 'cos there is....) Yeah; Alfred's gone all macho and Bats got a pulp-looking costume; but just HOW much of a dif does that all make? Once the stories get rolling it's gonna be the same old same old again.

I get the idea of trying to get these out to the bookstore crowd, but howabout some heroes that no one knows in the non comics crowd even knows about? Since it appears Green Lantern is the next movie why not him? Get some exposure for some characters outside the big two.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. ^ You're right....everyone on the freakin' planet should know who Superman and Batman are already...really no need to give them further exposure.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

I don't think they look bad, but with DC rebooting continuity every two weeks, these come off as just another log in the fire. Remember Waid's Superman: Rebirth? What was the point of that? It went absolutely nowhere.
I don't care for Batman's costume much. I would have thought they would have taken the opportunity to rethink things more, or go straight back to the original, or at least an iconic look (ie a Neal Adams type Batman). This looks too much like a variant Batman action figure.
