On reddit all I've seen was grumbling about it but my younger family members(early 20s) think its the coolest thing. Im just surprised its taken this long.

I don't know what to think about this. I do think that having Luke Skywalker, Vader etc teaming with Marvel heroes is stupid. The line says a long time ago. However, being the fan boy that I am, I don't mind having the events of Star Wars having taken place in the same universe in the distant past. Marvel has a history of incorporating licensed properties in their universe like Conan,Rom,Micronauts, Godzilla, even the 2001 movie via Machine Man. Since Marvel published SW comics in the 70s, I used to imagine the events taking place in the distant past in another galaxy. Now that they're under the same corporate umbrella, why not? There's been a fan theory for a while that the SW galaxy is Andromeda. I wonder if they'll share with the Skrulls, or it could all be an alternate universe thing. Or you could look at it like this. When Marvel was publishing the original Ultimate universe, I think Joe Quesada said that when it crossed over with the original universe, you would know the House of Ideas was out of ideas. Well...

Maybe it will be good, I haven't keep up with Marvel so this could be fore the non-readers. I liked the the X-Men/Star Trek crossover.

Maybe it will be good, I haven't keep up with Marvel so this could be fore the non-readers. I liked the the X-Men/Star Trek crossover.

I had the comic. Back when they were doing the Paramount Comics imprint. Gladiator of the Shiar was in it too. "Mr Spock, did he just punch my. Ship?"

I wish them the best of luck! I have nothing against any of these types of crossovers, but they have never been to my personal taste. I didn't prefer it when X-Men (and others) appeared in the Micronuats comic book in the late 70s/early 80s. I didn't prefer it when Malibu published a crossover between Planet of the Apes (one of my personal favorite IPs) and Alien Nation in 1991, or when IDW published a PotA-Star Trek crossover about 10 years ago.

Btw: the Fantastic Four on the Planet of the apes mini series earlier this year was not too bad. Doom, the Red Ghost and his Apes. Cornelius and company.


The Captain America vs. Aliens mini was pretty good. Set in WW II.

I think my favorite crosssover is transformers /Star Trek the animated series. Seeing the Enterprise transform into a robot was nuts.
