Based on the classic animated TV show, Challenge of the Super Friends Card Game uses Cryptozoic's "Gryphon" card game engine to deliver a simultaneous, easy-to-learn tabletop experience. Each player has a ten-card deck that allows them to call forth allies or use super powers.

I have this! I bought it years ago, knowing full well I would never get a chance to play it, because I was thrilled that it existed.

My two favorite seasons of Super Friends were Challenge of the Superfriends and Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians, both of which I think of as kind of obscure to the mainstream.

I don't think you're alone there. They are the top seasons for most comic fans, followed by The World's Greatest Super Friends (the season after Challenge with literary adaptations and "Universe of Evil").

I bought the game at Ollie's a few years back for $7, I think? We recently got it out to play it, but the rules were somewhat convoluted, and my family lost interest quickly. They'd rather play UNO.

Oh well, the cards and packaging are very nice!
