    DC's Most Iconic Covers

Vote For Your Top Ten Most Iconic DC Covers of All-Time! | Comics Should Be Good! @ Comic Book Resources

    What do you guys think?

As much as I love Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, Sandman, and Preacher, I don't think those belong there do they? Particularly since they became more iconic in their collected book incarnations than the original comics themselves.

I also don't think secondary characters like Atom or The New Gods really belong, although the Adam Strange one certainly has stood out.

And as much as I am indifferent to Knightfall and The Death of Superman, those were pretty much the defining moments for Batman and Superman in the nineties and those images are pretty sticky in the cultural landscape.

Definitely the Green Arrow/Green Lantern covers over the GL Corps.

And something about those Neal Adams covers really Pop!

Agree. For me an "Iconic" Cover means it crossed over it's a Stand out amongst the comic crowd even if the issue was never read. The Cover in itself was eye catching and Talked about.

I'm not a fan of Frank Quitley so for me his Superman seems out of place. I wouldn't call it Iconic.

^ Agreed.... Half of that list IS definitely NOT worthy of being on that list...
