The plot involves a meteor carrying an alien that crashes through the basement of a poker game party.
Cinemagic magazine, Don Dohler's magazine series (1970's) covered this short in multiple issues, along with other titles. When Cinemagic was sold to Starlog magazine it was released as a movie called Cinemagic aka Fright show on VHS in the 80's. Included was this short, The Thing In The Basement.
