New history of the dc universe #1 will be released June 25,will all of the golden age dc comics super heroes appear in it?
sorry to be asking this question
One bit of info that was released was that Wonder Woman in the past during WWII JSA is Queen Hippolyta. 20250529_153022.jpg
This making some people made that this is going to mess up Diana's history but then most people forgot that Hippolyta was forced to be WW to make amends.
I really think this needs to be a don't judge a book by its cover situation. Covers rarely reflect the interiors these days, and variant covers even less so. I don't think anyone outside of the creative team and editorial will really know what is being done to the history of the DCU until the issues come out and most of the speculation and comments out there about it are intentionally stirring the pot to farm outrage clicks because they don't know anything more for certain than you or I do right now.

Let them TRY to explain, Miss America and all the young All Stars. Especially, Iron Munroe. Gawd! Don't get me started on FURY! CRISIS really screwed schet up!!
Mark Waid is a great writer, he couldn't write crap is he even wanted too.
The story starts from the BIG BANG and goes on to the end of the "golden age"
yes, Hippolyta is the WW II Wonder Woman, but honestly at this point in the game I am soooooo NUMB to continuity crap, I don't care.
And YES! Miss America makes an appearance! HAHAHHAHA! So do the Young ALL STARS. But here is the thing.
It is NOT Waid's job to explain it all or to FIX IT ALL.
Mark is just telling the reader what has happened as short and concise as he can.
and the art work by Jerry (Ordway) and Todd (Nauck) is KILLER!!!! Once the first part ends we get a NEW timeline from Dave Wielgosz with input from Mark and an old acquaintance of mine: John Wells. And the timeline just pretty much gives a listing of (first) appearance or origin story.
And the story is being told by one; BARRY ALLEN (retired) (I guess Im gonna have to find out about that. Hmmm)
The ONLY Thing, that kind of disappointed me was the introduction of the JUSTICE ALLIANCE who's membership includes: Congorilla. AUTOMAN. Tiger Man. Prince Ra-Man. And it's leader:CAPTAIN COMET?
Really? Was that necessary? Are we gonna get an ORIGIN STORY? Whatever.
Now I love the mystical characters but including a new group without any comic book history is confusing.
I wish we had a book that took place in WWII with the JSA and then some stories with Rock and the other services characters but that could just be me.
JSA DARK is a play on JLA DARK and that was the proposed vehicle that they TRIED to entice Guillermo Del Toro to get involved with the DCU. He didn't want to do "Spandex" per se, so JLA Dark was his idea.
All Star Squadron; if the Crisis didn't screw things up would have eventually had Sgt. Rock and other WW II figures. Roy Thomas made mention of it in one of his MANY features in ALTER-EGO.
Makes me wonder if that (Psychedelic) Justice Group that Jonn Jonzz had in the 60's is even gonna be mentioned???? (Can't remember the name)
