Went to my local shop Super Fly Comics & Games in Yellow Springs, OH. Despite having to stand in line in the rain for 20 minutes waiting for them to open, it was a fun day. Got some great freebies, got to chat with Matt Fife and Matt Rogers, co-creators of Happy Astronaut and Slaughter Otter. They had a store exclusive cover of Happy Astronaut #1 available. Everything in the shop was 25% off so I grabbed some back issues, including a beat up copy of Dale Evans #2 from 1948 featuring a 7 page Alex Toth story, and handful of Kubert war covers.
25% off sticker for these. The Dale Evans is a bit beat up, but I'm a huge Toth fan and I couldn't pas sup a Toth story from 1948 for $7.50 after discount.

Heading out in two hours, will see how the last hour at AF comics is gonna be. Had to work this am, which was ok as I avoided the idiot-rush and all the cosplayers.

I had an amazed chuckle when I saw some of the back issues you picked up. I guess our comic book interest align on a few more points besides an interest in REH characters. These are the titles I got today from the 50 cent bins.

Awesome. I need 3 issues to complete my 'Nam run. I don't se many Dc War books in the bargain bins any more, but I am filling in the runs where I can, especially when Kubert did the cover or interior work.
