    Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman

anyone watch yet? First 2 episodes are out. Animation is good, voice cast is good so far. Is this supposed to be a prequel to the current Spidey movies/MCU? I do not like the changes they have made though

When the show was in development, it WAS supposed to be the origins of Tom Holland's MCU Spidey, leading up to when we met him in Captain America: Civil War. At some point they decided to make it an alternate universe version of that, so you get some similarities, but quite a few differences. It opens things up and doesn't pigeon hole them into following the MCU timeline of events.

I really liked it so far. Right now it seems to be much more about Peter's school life, which was a huge chunk of the early Lee/Ditko comics. Love the Romita-like art style, and the use of the 67 theme song.

I watched it. I thought the animation has an unusual look to it, almost like a rotoscope feel.
        I’m enjoying it so far.

I watched the trailer and laughed out loud at Harry Osborn's ridiculous makeover. Easy pass for me. I am so done with Disney's predictable checklist for everything these days.

yeah, the Harry things is so stupid. they also changed Curt conners to Carla, a woman of color. i mean they already created all new friends for Peter that fill the diversity quota, why change all these other established characters? i watched the first 2 episodes but doubt i will finish the series

Peter's friends are actually alternate versions of established characters too. Pearl is Wave in the comics, Lonnie is Tombstone, Amadeus Cho is a Hulk, Nico is somebody too.

Anyone not watching this show because they changed a few things is missing out. The core of Spider-Man is there, and more prevalent than in most adaptations. To each their own, but there have been TONS of Spider-Man animated shows at this point. This one going in some different directions doesn't bother me a bit, especially when its this well executed.
