I’ve been doing Fire EMS dispatch for years now. We have a new Director and his thing is no personal electronics at all while on duty. Which is kind of a pain for night shift. It can get busy but when it isn’t you need something to occupy yourself. I read and do my desk exercise bike and some small weights and started to do coloring books. I had a couple from Dollar Tree but I don’t like modern coloring books. It’s all just portraits and splash pages. I miss the way old coloring books would have a story.
Anyway I found a digital copy of a book I used to have yeeeeears ago called Batman from the 30s to the 70s. Fun book lots of stories from Batman’s history. But especially helpful now is that the bulk of the stories were printed without any coloring. So I make each panel a page and print it out as a coloring page. Make a copy at work and color it during the week. Couple of coworkers have seen them and now we do a Batman story of the week and most of these people have never read any Batman comics much less comics from the 40s and 50s. It’s been fun. I have scoured out the Coloring Book Theater pages posted here at times and printed out some of those as well. Found the Bernie Wrightson Monsters to Color as an ebook and printing that out too.
