    Sony's Spiderverse in trouble

    21orlkf9.png

Sony Pictures has decided to conclude its Spider-Man villain spin-off universe, known as the SUMC, with 'Kraven the Hunter' as the final film. The studio is now shifting its focus to projects directly involving Spider-Man, including 'Spider-Man 4', 'Beyond the Spider-Verse', and a 'Spider-Man: Noir' series. This decision comes after the SUMC, which featured films like 'Morbius' and the 'Venom' series without Spider-Man, faced criticism for its lack of coherence and underwhelming commercial performance.

Honestly to the surprise of no one. I just wish they were willing to name an price and let Disney buy their interest in Spider-Man out altogether. Aside from the Spider-Verse films, they've not contributed anything to Spider-Man in the last several decades that I care about.

I can't believe how long this took to figure out. They put Sydney Sweeny in spandex and nobody came.

Morbius was a complete cluster. Did anyone order a Kraven movie?

I think this was a long time coming. The reception to the movies have not been well. Even Venom received 3 movies because people thought they "weren't bad" which is their highest regard. There's a huge obsession with changing so much of the core material of their characters that it never interests me. While Kraven visually looks good, I have more of an interest in seeing him as a villain in a Spider-Man movie rather than his own film.

Their mistake was only putting her in spandex for a total of like...2 minutes.
