    Joker: Folie à Deux

    Joker Folie à Deux.jpg
Arthur Fleck is institutionalized at Arkham, awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that's always been inside him.

Well this gets released this weekend, BF & I are going to watch it but only because we have free tickets. I did not like the first one, not sure if I am going to like this one. Our tickets are for Thursday 3pm so after that I will let you know if it is worth watching or wait till it hits Max.

Yeah, I was open-minded about the first one but ultimately found it derivative. I'm sure the missus will watch this on streaming in a few months. (She likes Gaga, and honestly, so do I.) But I'm not sure it's in me. I do kind of like turning this series on its ear like this; its fan base was troubling at times.

BF & I got back from watching Joker Folie à Deux. I have to admire, I was wrong on this one. I like it and not because of Lady Gaga.

Today we rewatch the first Joker and even now I judge that movie wrong because I went in tho king it was a "lineare" movie that went from bringing middle end. Both movie represent have criminal sees things when he daydreams a better life. Once you go in with this thinking you can understand the movie and enjoy it.

Over the years I have seen movies like thos that challenge the viewers perspective of movie telling. Once you understand that and ride it out knowing what is the real world vs the mental world the movie makes since.

The musical parts take place on Arthur's mind and to be truthful were fun to watch. This is worth watching but I am living it to were you watch it theater or wait till it hits Max.

I have never watched Joker in it's entirety. I wasn't in a hurry to see it, but once I watched it, I was intrigued. But I got interrupted, and never really wanted to revisit it. Too bleak, I suppose. I should give it another go, and I'll try this one too at some point, I imagine.

...or maybe I won't. This movie tanked HARD. And even though that doesn't always speak to quality, it got a D cinemascore. YIKES! I haven't seen it, but it sounds like the studio overindulged the director and star in doing whatever they wanted, and here you go. Nothing wrong with that, but pumping $200 million into it was probably a bad idea. Meanwhile a probably quite-watchable and enjoyable Batgirl movie with Michael Keaaton as Batman is locked away, never to be released. Go figure.

The second one was better than the first. This is a high dollar "art" film that would fall under the DC Comics Elseworlds series.
