S3 isn't good, but it is watchable with some good scenes throughout. Anything that doesn't have Richard Prior or the wannabe Lex Luthor works pretty well. Now S4, there is just nothing to love there at all.Comment

Yeah, that movie just makes me sad. I can't watch it. It's so poorly made. I know Reeve's heart was in the right place, but the budget was pulled out from under them. It's just such as sad state of affairs for a once great franchise that I love, that I can't stomach it.Comment

yeah S4 is painful. the effects are just awful. terrible script and acting. most people forget it exists I thinkComment

I'm going to have to rewatch S3 one of these days. The only thing i remember is the scene with the Atari graphics.
Funny thing about S4, I went to the Smithsonian in '88 with my dad to see the Superman 50th anniversary exhibit. At the hotel we were staying at, Quest for Peace was literally playing around the clock on one of the channels in the room lol. So unfortunately I am very familiar with that movie despite not having watched it in decades.
Btw, the Smithsonian gift shop was selling bagged Superpowers Superman figures. Its not something I've ever seen mentioned online anywhere.Comment

Were the baggies labeled Kenner? I have an SP Flash in a Kenner baggie. Oddly enough, and off topic with Superman, at my town's Christmas parade in 1985 or so, someone was throwing Salcious Crumb figures from the ROTJ Jabba's Palace playset into the crowd. They were in Kenner baggies. I'm only about an hour south of Kenner's HQ in Cincinnati. Some mabye someone worked there?
I try to look it up every once in a while but, nothing ever turns up. It's odd cause I seem to have these childhood museum gift shop findings that I dont see others having. Another one I remember is Luminos from the Super Joe line being sold loose at the Philadelphia Science Museum in the mid-80s.Comment

That was nice.
Of course, the MX looked nothing like the actual Peacekeeper missile:

could be how these were sold
as overstock in minimal packaging
in bags to save space and cost and offer no competition to retail outlets with official carded kenner super powers stock
cool memory anyway to have them on sale in a display in a museum gift shop to coincide with the event i love memories of classic toys found in the wild now or back in the dayComment
