I remember being very excited about this hitting theaters and enjoying it very much when I went to see it.

I have seen it a few times when it has aired on cable. It is a good couch movie/Saturday Matinee.

Yes it does. The best of Zorro. JK/ I love that movie too. These are 2 fun movies that make me feel like a kid again and have that sense of wonder that's completely missing from movies anymore. My kids love the Zorro movies but have not had the chance to see the Phantom yet. I think they'd love it. Must get that on DVD someday.

The Phantom is one of my favourite characters.

I love this movie, I think Zane really stepped up to the plate to do the character. Pretty faithful to the comics, too. Tales a real man to wear purple longjohns.

I think the weakest point is William's villain. I understand it didn't tdo well domestically, but cleaned up overseas (Australia/Europe) where the Phantom is still very popular.

Watched this for the second time last night. I love Catherine ZetaJones and Billy Zane is a fun actor. I actually enjoy this film. I don't know a whole lot about the Phantom so I have no history with the character to color my judgement of the film. I thought it was a fun movie. Anyone else have opinions on this one?
