GL ring, Sandman in Smallville JSA teaser

Green Lantern wasn't supposed to be in the JSA "Smallville" two-parter, but Allen Scott's ring is in the teaser as is a cool looking Sandman and Dr. Fate, the JSA's table and big painting of the team.

    very cool.

I keep rooting for this show.

Loved the first half of this season. I think the story line is running toward something enjoyable.

I just hope they learned a lesson from last year. I really enjoyed the season...up until they came back from the break. They came back with a Lana (puke) storyline and they failed (miserably) to wrap up the good storyline they had built up. The whole thing got bogged down (because of the needless...oh, let's bring Lana back storyline) and the resolution was anti-climactic because it was rushed. I'm sure they realize the mistake and hopefully, they won't repeat.

If they keep running for the goal, this will be a great season.

Fate actually looks good. Check out the painting with Star Spangled Kid. Looking more promising!

As frustrated as I get with this show, I will actually have to watch that one.

DC Direct should do a poster or a nice print of the painting from the show.

Looks good. A JSA-WWII TV series would be cool. Imagine the 'Golden Age' mini as a season arc.

I'm just bummed that new Smallville episodes won't be back until January!
This is one of the best seasons EVER so far. I was starting to wonder if the shark was circling after last season but that shark is harpooned now. Hope this season continues as strong as it started. I don't think there's been a bad or even weak episode yet and I even groaned at the previews for the Toyman one which turned out good after all.
My one complaint (and perhaps I just missed the explanation?) was this week's episode. I don't understand how the "Kandorians" (why not Kryptonians?) got their powers under the red sun and then when the sun returned to yellow they still had powers yet Clark lost his under the red sun (which he should).
Can't wait for the JSA one!

                        Heads up!

This JSA will be a JSA that came from the 1970s.

There will be no mention of World War II. I am sure there it is because they don't want some 80 year old codgers running around.

I'm not expecting a true DCU continuity JSA anyway (this is Smallville after all) but to be honest the WWII angle for the real JSA is starting to be a hindrance as time goes on. After awhile it will get to the point where a WWII connection will be almost unbelievable to any non-magical characters. These guys are in their 80's at best. It's almost too bad their history is so interconnected with WWII that there is no real way to "bump" their origins up through time periodically without changing who they fundamentally are like other characters have been able to do.
Dc used to do this with Superboy. At first he was in the 20s/30's era then he was in the 50's at some point, then the 60's, etc.
Marvel used to do it with some of their guys too. I think Nick Fury went from WWII to Vietnam or something at one point? and the Fantastic Four did a little retro time shifting as well if I remember right?

Right but unfortunately, a lot of the good JSA stuff was based on WWII. I think it will be impossible to change that.

Nick Fury is still from WWII as far as I know.

The Punisher is from Vietnam (they have never changed that. Now that is odd. He'd be like Stallone in that John Rambo movie )

BLASPHEMY that is whats wrong with characters who never change identity to to continuity to kkep them eternally 30. DC have used every trick they can on the iconic JSA to keep explaning how they stay active. but that's also why they have written out most of the original JSA. GL is pretty much the green flame in human form
