    favorite silver age issue(s)

    here's mine

underrated run, i think because alot of the issues were double sized that's why the series sold poorly. also it's interesting to note that the silver surfer that started in issue one is alot different than when he appeared in fantastic 4.

Neal Adams rules, period. Best artist at the time, one of the top five all-time.

Kirby's Surfer was definitely a different kind of entity than Lee's version with Buscema.

I always dig when the Hulk fights the Thing.

As an Avengers fan, this one is Iconic for me. A great cover for one of my favorite characters-

Always kind of dug the Challengers of the Unknown.

Wasn't this issue kind of a tune up before Fantastic Four? Rocky went into space and returned with multiple superpowers including invisibility, flame throwing, giant-growth, and super-strength.

Anyone been reading Comic Book Comics?

It is fascinating to think of what the Fantastic Four would have been like outside of the Kirby collaboration. Particularly if The Thing was given to behaving like Doctor Smith from Lost in Space. Would it have actually been a evolution and character arc to turn such an unlikable character around?

Comes to mind just because it looks like Lee got to return to his original idea for The Thing for at least one issue in "This Man This Monster".
